Scheduling Critical Path
Halcyon develops a detailed construction schedule prior to bidding any job. Then we drill it into our subcontractors.
The project schedule is included in the Bid Manual. Bidders are required to acknowledge on their Bid Form that they have reviewed and understand the project schedule. Bidders are briefed on the project schedule at a pre-bid meeting. Meeting minutes are issued after the pre-bid meeting to reiterate the project schedule.
We include all subcontractors in fine-tuning the project schedule after awarding their contracts. We achieve buy-in by all parties which fosters both teamwork and project schedule discipline.
Logistical Planning and Bid Packaging
Halcyon achieves superior buy-out by ensuring subcontractors understand their complete scope of work and by eliminating redundant scopes and equipment needs.
Pre-Qualifications of Subcontractors
We carefully review subcontractors’ safety records. We assess performance on each project. We consider financial strength. And we re-evaluate each relationship annually to reaffirm qualifications.
Qualifications are scored against a quantifiable standard to ensure objectivity. We pay promptly and treat fairly.
While it isn’t easy to qualify as a Halcyon subcontractor, neither is performing work to Halcyon standards.
